Welcome to the home page of the West Texas Astronomers.This page is updated frequently, and new information will be added as time allows. We hope you check back occasionally to see what's going on under our West Texas skies!

The club meets every 2nd Monday of the month (except July, when we hold a picnic) at 7:30 p.m.at the Blakemore Planetarium at the Museum of the Southwest. Here is a map to the Planetarium.

Once a month on the Friday nearest the 1st quarter moon we host a Public Star Party at the Planetarium. Be sure to check the Star Party Indicator above to make sure we haven't cancelled because of weather. Highlights of AstroNews, the club newsletter (meeting minutes,articles, etc.) can be found in our Newsletter Archive.

We are currently working on a darkroom in the basement of the Planetarium.When it is complete we will start posting member photographs on the Astrophotos page. Check out the latest Weather for our area.
